SCHOOLS CHAPLAIN

The essence of this role is to be a Christian presence in schools. The core of the work is likely to involve a one-to-one listening and mentoring service for children and young people. There will also be many opportunities to support staff and pupils in a variety of ways. This might include leading collective worship, running soul spaces and discussion groups, offering support in the RE curriculum, as well as showing Christian love and support in every possible way.

This job will entail flexible working, initially 22½ hours (equivalent to three days) per week, and is term time (45 weeks per year) only.

The salary for this role is £12,580, set at point 12 on the JNC scale.
