I’m married with three children and live in Great Dunmow.
I worship at St Mary’s Church here in Dunmow although I enjoy worshiping and working with many of the local Churches.
I feel God has called me to work with all local Churches for the benefit of children who are not taken to Church with their family. I am often found taking assemblies, running lunch clubs, holiday clubs or helping with after school clubs – the joy of sharing the love of Christ with children is indescribable for me.
I really feel blessed working with young children, they truly are a gift from GOD and can teach us adults how to live in the moment and enjoy each and every moment in a way that makes God smile.
I have recently joined the Trust to work on a primary school / church links project one day a week within the Bishops Stortford / Saffron Walden area. The Trust has set this project up because children are making decisions on spiritual matters at a younger age than before. The Trust is looking to address this by supporting and encouraging local Christians to engage with young children in primary schools. You wouldn’t leave a child with a puzzle, no picture and no clues on how to go about completing it. Likewise, it is important to guide young children as they work at their spiritual jigsaw so they have the best overview of the puzzles content before they decide what the picture is and if they like it – in this context who is Jesus and what he is to me?
